This policy explains what this website collects, who receives it, and how to say no. It applies to this campaign website, whether you reach it at votemjk.com or votemjk-public.web.app.

What this site collects

Nothing is required of you to read this site. Information reaches the campaign in only two ways: you type it into a form, or you allow the measurement described below — the campaign’s own first-party measurement and the third-party cookies listed in the panel.

  • Information you give us. Name, email, phone, ZIP code and any message you send through a volunteer or contact form. Used to reply to you and to organize campaign volunteers.
  • Technical information. Our host records standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and measurement

No analytics or advertising service loads on this site until you choose to allow it. Until you accept, none of the companies below receives anything about your visit. Your choice is stored on your own device and you can change it at any time.

Who receives data, if you allow it

  • This campaign (first-party measurement) — the site keeps its own count of page views and actions such as donate or volunteer clicks. It stores a random identifier in your browser (not your name, email, or IP address) and sends the page path and that identifier to the campaign’s own server, which retains only daily totals — never a raw IP address or a browsing profile. Category: analytics. Like everything else here, it stays off until you allow analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager — counts visits and which pages are read. Category: analytics.
  • Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replay, showing where people click and how far they scroll. Category: analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — lets the campaign show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who visited this site. Category: marketing. This is the one that shares your activity with another company, which is why declining it is a single click.

Your choices

  • Choose Essential only in the cookie banner and nothing above loads.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal automatically. You are never shown the banner and nothing loads.
  • Clearing this site’s data in your browser resets the choice and you will be asked again.

Donations

Contributions are processed by ActBlue on its own website. Card numbers and billing details are entered there, not here, and this campaign never sees or stores them. ActBlue’s own privacy policy governs that transaction. Contributor names and amounts are reported as required by Texas campaign finance law and become public record.

Text messages

Giving us a mobile number is always optional. We text only people who checked the consent box next to the number field, and only for the purposes named there: donation, polling, and advocacy messages. Donations may be solicited. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP — reply HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared by us with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Sharing, keeping, and children

  • The campaign does not sell your information. We do not trade or rent supporter lists.
  • Form submissions are kept through the election cycle and the record-keeping period required by law, then deleted.
  • This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to info@votemjk.com or call 915-838-6447. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and — where the change adds a new company to the list above — you will be asked for your cookie choice again.
